1. Who is Muando Martin?
Muando Martin Marvin is my name, aka triple 'M.' I am a
student at Islamic University in Uganda, Kampala Campus pursuing a Bachelor of
Laws.
I have always loved the Law, and therefore this motivated me
to carry it on like my third soulmate.
I am a Human Rights Activist, and I love fighting for people’s
rights.
2. How do you motivate yourself?
I look into the mirror and reflect on who I am; where do I
want to be? Where have I come from, and where am I going?
The result?
Doing so motivates me. It pushes me to work harder.
I am also motivated by the people around me because I work to get the best for them.
3. What do you like most about law school?
I like how Law school has made me realize my potentials and
what I can do for the country and the entire world.
Clearly, it helps give me the courage that I can do most things.
Law school trains me to look into everything and realize that I can
achieve anything and fight for anyone.
4. What is your greatest challenge in Law school?
Access to content has been a challenge.
Various Resources, information, and cases used for research
are scarce.
For instance; fetching various required files from different
libraries is very hard.
But all in all, if you are determined, nothing can defeat
you; you can achieve anything.
Challenges are there, but I can handle them. I love what I
do, and this keeps me going.
5. How has the ongoing pandemic affected you, and how have you tried to overcome it
It has greatly affected me since I can no longer ably
participate in discussions.
I enjoy physical discussions and benefit from them a
lot.
We cannot gather and discuss as we used to.
Having classes from home is also challenging. You always
have the stuff to do and, at times, get distracted.
But challenges always have workarounds; we have tried to
carry on most operations on Zoom, Whatsapp, and other platforms.
Honestly, I hope God helps us to overcome this pandemic.
6. Which areas of Law do you wish to specialize in?
I have not come to a conclusive decision about what I will
specialize in. I am still discovering my potentials.
I hope to be diverse.
But to be precise, Criminal Law.
7. What is your opinion about students engaging in relationships during school?
This question is a tricky one!
But I have no problem with that issue. At times it is
helpful in our studies. The people we love always motivate and push us.
I tell you what though, I am in a relationship, and all I can say is that we
know how to balance everything.
There is always time for everything. I know she will read
this, but all in all, I love her so much.
8. What makes you stand out?
I stand out for what I am.
I am unique, doing things my way, my style, and not
influenced by anyone.
I am a person who loves teamwork (I wouldn't say I like
doing things solely). I like getting ideas from various persons and combining
them to get meaningful outcomes.
That makes me stand out and differentiates me from everyone.
9. Lately, you have been active in politics, campaigning for contestants. Tell us about your interests in Politics, Should we expect you to pose as a contender next time?
I have an interest in politics. I have been campaigning for
various contestants, the Guild president.
I cannot assure you about my participation in politics next
year, but I have the interest.
You never know. Everything happens by God's Grace. Inshallah
10. I stumbled across a charity organization (Feeding and Saving a Soul) that you seem to advocate for, tell us more about it.
Feeding and Saving a
Soul is a non-profit organization that I am planning to put out publicly
soon enough.
What about this
organization, you may ask?
There are many orphans in the country, many people who can't
afford what to eat in a day, people dying in hospitals people struggling in
life.
As a person who is pursuing Law, some things are annoying.
They make me feel like the sense of humanity does not exist.
So I came up with an idea to create this project.
I am looking at this project as a big thing, still situated
on Facebook but it will cut across all platforms.
This is something that is going to inspire people and the
country at large.
The main aim of this organization is for each of us to stand
in the spirit of brotherhood and sisterhood to lend a hand.
I advocate for this organization. This does not necessarily
imply that you should only send me money for operations to go on.
No,
Start In your
community to represent this organization.
Are people in your society in need?
If you are in a position to help, lend a hand, make them
proud. This way, we shall do something great that will make us proud in the
future.
A seed that you are going to sow now will save you in the
future. It will save your child and one that is going to help the entire
nation.
I urge my fellow learning friends to offer
assistance where they can. It could be your fellow law student who lacks a
necessity and is not able to acquire it at the moment or anyone else.
For more, reach out to our Feeding and Saving a Soul's Facebook Page or contact me personally
for more details.
Thanks for reading to the end. About me, my motivation,
organization, and many more that I have talked about above.
